3.Shepton Mallet Prison Escape Room – The Hole

★★★★★★★★★★5.0 · 59 reviews · 1 hour 15 minutes (approx.) · from $37Best value

Spend 60 minutes solving puzzles inside The Hole, a dark prison-cell escape room at Shepton Mallet Prison. Guards such as Will and Georgina add theatrical flair, and your ticket includes time to explore the historic jail before or after. The private booking suits families, friends, and work groups.

“We had an amazing time and the escape room was just tricky enough to feel like we had really achieved something but not so hard it felt impossible. The theming was good, and whilst if you were severely claustrophobic it would be very challenging, it would not fall into the category of a horror one. If you're ok with the dark, you'll be fine. Our prison guard, Georgina was great (if a little scary to start). Would definitely recommend and other in my party said that this was the better of the two escape rooms, but I have not done the other one.”
